Nottingham Forest have revealed their new third kit for the 2026-27 Premier League campaign. The adidas design takes direct inspiration from the club's Trentside home and the river itself.

The jersey uses a light blue base colour. An asymmetric white graphic flows across the front, representing ripples on the River Trent and the reflection of the rising sun. This flowing pattern extends across much of the shirt and continues around the lower section of the back. Dark navy detailing provides contrast throughout the design. The adidas logo and Forest's two-star crest are positioned on opposite sides of the chest in navy. Three grey adidas stripes run across the shoulders. The round neckline and short sleeve cuffs are finished in white with a narrow navy edge. The upper back is kept predominantly plain light blue to ensure player names and numbers are clearly visible.

The shirt has a slim fit and is constructed from a quick-drying double-knit fabric. It incorporates adidas Climacool technology, which is designed to wick moisture away from the body and support ventilation during matches. This aims to keep players cooler and more comfortable during intense physical activity. The kit is paired with dark navy shorts featuring white and light blue trim and the Forest crest positioned on the leg. Matching navy socks complete the set, featuring NFFC lettering and adidas branding in light blue. The club also has the option to use white shorts and socks as an alternative combination during the season.

The new strip arrives as Forest handle the early stages of the Premier League season. Steve Cooper's side currently sit 16th in the standings, having taken two points from their opening three matches. Their record shows zero wins, two draws, and one loss, with a recent form of DDL. They have scored two goals and conceded three, giving them a goal difference of minus one. In the title race, they are seven points behind early leaders Manchester City. The team will be looking to improve those numbers when they next take to the pitch.

Supporters will get their first official glimpse of the third kit during competitive matches in the coming months. Its debut is likely to come in a fixture where there is a colour clash with the home or away strips. The next opportunity for fans to see the team play is a home match against Fulham on January 2, 2027. Fulham currently occupy 19th place in the table. The club will hope the fresh kit can bring a change in fortune as they aim to climb the league.
