Nottingham Forest hold out for a record fee as Manchester City return with a £120m bid for Anderson. The 23-year-old could become the most expensive British player in history if the deal is completed. According to The Athletic, City have now returned with just that, an offer in excess of £120 million bid, including add-ons. Forest still aren't happy, however, and want a fixed fee that would eclipse the £125 million Liverpool paid to sign Alexander Isak last summer to get a deal done. Should the deal be completed, Anderson will become the most expensive British player in history, taking the crown from England midfield partner Declan Rice. The deal is still in its early stages, and it remains to be seen whether Nottingham Forest will accept the offer or hold out for a higher fee.
